Heather was appointed as the province’s first Chief Procurement Officer in 2018. Prior to that, she has served in a number of management and executive positions throughout her career with the provincial government.
In addition to her SCMP designation, Heather has a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s of Business Administration degrees from Memorial University.
She is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Administrative Law through York University’s Osgoode Law School, where she also acts as a faculty advisor and course instructor for the law school’s certificate in procurement law.
In 2019, Heather was named as one of the 100 influential women in Canadian Supply Chain by the Supply Chain Management Association.
Always an engaging speaker we expect Heather will touch on continuing education and lifelong learning and the benefits and applicability of the SCMP designation. How her role has evolved as Chief Procurement Officer for the Province plus what's new and exciting in public procurement and how she views it changing in the coming decade?
